Removing the IMM interposer assembly

Use this information to remove the IMM interposer assembly.

Before you remove IMM interposer assembly, complete the following steps:
  1. Read Safety and Installation guidelines.
  2. If the compute node is installed in a NeXtScale n1200 Enclosure, remove it (see Removing a compute node from a chassis for instructions).
  3. Carefully lay the compute node on a flat, static-protective surface, orienting the compute node with the bezel pointing toward you.

To remove the IMM interposer assembly, complete the following steps:

  1. Remove the cover (see Removing the compute node cover).
  2. Unfasten the two screws that secure the IMM interposer assembly to the compute node and save them for future use.

  3. Slide the IMM interposer assembly out of the compute node.

  4. If you are instructed to return the IMM interposer assembly, follow all packaging instructions, and use any packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to you.
